Car Shipping Quotes Calculator | Direct Express Auto Transport

The Eastern Seaboard states are generally considered to be New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Nearly one third of the country lives in the states bordering the Atlantic, which obviously means a lot of car shipping traffic.

New York is like a tale of two cities. The Big Apple is America’s largest city and its positive effect on car shipping extends into northern New Jersey, southern Connecticut and eastern Pennsylvania. Upstate New York has far more in common with New England, a mixed bag when it comes to vehicle shipping quotes.

Almost all of New Jersey is accessible except south of Atlantic City. In Delaware, it is Wilmington or bust, as southeast of there is exceedingly difficult for car shipping services. How much to ship a car there depends on exactly where? Most transportation services cringe at the prospect

Toyota Develops Vehicle To Transport Seriously Ill COVID-19 Patients

As of date, the new coronavirus pandemic has already affected several countries around the world, with 3.25-million confirmed cases and death toll hitting the 230,000 mark. In Japan, there are 14,305 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 455 deaths. Tokyo, the nation’s capital, tallies the most number of confirmed cases and casualties, with Osaka and Kanagawa following behind.

As such, Toyota Motor Corporation has extended its hand in order to assist in this time of crisis. Earlier this week, the carmaker announced the production of medical face shields for Japan, with production capacity boosted up to 40,000 units per month.

Toyota has aided in the transport of COVID-19 cases, as well. It has provided 11 vehicles for mildly-ill patients since April 10, covering Tokyo, Chiba Prefecture, and Miyagi Prefecture.

Tesla to drop price of Model 3 in China to access electric vehicle subsidies

Elon Musk says Tesla will drop the price of the Standard Range Model 3 in China from Friday so that it will be eligible for China’s “new energy vehicle” subsidies.

Speaking at the company’s earnings call for the first quarter of 2020 on Thursday (Australian time), Musk said he was excited to announce the price drop.

China’s electric car market has suffered a blow over the last three quarters after the Asian economic leader dropped subsidies for electric vehicles.

Recent reports that China’s government was considering extending subsidies as a response to boost the economy in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis left some wondering if non-domestic auto makers, including Tesla, would be left out in the cold.

The 2 year extension ultimately included only vehicles costing RMB300,000 ($A64,85) or less. Currently, the base price for the Standard Range (SR) Model 3 made at Tesla’s Shanghai factory is RMB323,800 ($A69,995

Edmunds validates Tesla Model Y’s mainstream potential: ‘an extremely compelling vehicle’

The Tesla Model Y is already undergoing its first ramp, with deliveries beginning despite the coronavirus pandemic. Amidst the Model Y’s ramp, automotive firm Edmunds has validated the vehicle’s mainstream appeal, stating that the all-electric crossover will likely be “extremely compelling” for many buyers.

Echoing much of its initial observations about the Model Y, the automotive firm summarized the vehicle as a combination of performance, price, and lots of technology, which gives the crossover a lot of value. That being said, Edmunds did take away some points from the Model Y due to its lack of interior “richness” and its rear visibility, which has areas of improvement.

And this, in a lot of ways, will be a good combination that will give the Model Y the potential to break into the mainstream auto market. Tesla has long been competing in the premium/luxury segment, and for the most part, it has

The Toyota Hiace-based vehicle features a special system called ‘airborne droplet circulation control’ which helps to expel possibly contaminated air from within the cabin. The cabin itself has been divided into two sections – the interior barrier makes for a front section for the driver and front passenger while the rearward compartment has the rear passenger seat area coupled with an exhaust fan which throws out air from the vehicle. This prevents the possibly contaminated air in the

How Car Suspensions Work | HowStuffWorks

When people think of automobile performance, they normally think of horsepower, torque and zero-to-60 acceleration. But all of the power generated by a piston engine is useless if the driver can’t control the car. That’s why automobile engineers turned their attention to the suspension system almost as soon as they had mastered the four-stroke internal combustion engine.

The job of a car suspension is to maximize the friction between the tires and the road surface, to provide steering stability with good handling and to ensure the comfort of the passengers. In this article, we’ll explore how car suspensions work, how they’ve evolved over the years and where the design of suspensions is headed in the future.

If a road were perfectly flat, with no irregularities, suspensions wouldn’t be necessary. But roads are far from flat. Even freshly paved highways have subtle imperfections that can interact with the wheels of a
