A Maine couple is accused of drunken driving and leading police on a 20-mile chase with their three children inside the vehicle.Tyler Shorty, 31, of Oakland, was also charged with operating after suspension, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, failing to stop, eluding, driving to endanger and endangering the welfare of a child.Amanda Pingree, 34, of Andover, was also charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended registration. Maine State Police said the chase started when a trooper tried to stop the couple’s pickup truck Thursday night.Police said the chase went from Andover to Richardson Lake Township, and at one point, the truck stopped and Pingree took over driving for Shorty.Police eventually stopped the truck and found the couple’s three children, ages 11 to 15 months, inside.Shorty was arrested and taken to the Oxford County Jail.Police said Pingree was charged but not arrested.
